- SYMPTOMS. Signs are dependent of the area of the brain that is affected and
- may include defective vision, confusion, coma, headache, paralysis on one
- side of the body, confusion or defective speech.
- CAUSES involve destruction of an area of the brain tissue and may be due to
- the rupture of a vessel and bleeding within the cranium, blockage by a clot
- or spasm or contraction of a vessel. High blood pressure is a major factor.
- TREATMENT. Seek medical help immediately. Immediate treatment is essential.
- .Physiotherapy and speech therapy may be required.
